PCE which is found in the vynyl lining of water pipes installed in homes bulit from 1969 to 1983 has been determined to put babies at risk.  Mother’s exposure to PCE increase the likelihood threefold that their baby would have a cleft pallet or neural tube defect.

Tetrachloroethylene (PCE) is a colorless organic liquid with a mild, chloroform-like odor. Its greatest use is in the textile industry, and as a component of aerosol dry-cleaning products.

Chemicals in House Water Linked to Birth Defects!

Saw this and wondered if people were aware that PCE (found in lining of plastic water pipes under your house) was found to be linked to birth defects in Maine.

Folks, we have to be vigilant about our home water supply!
