Need clean, healthy water? Think EZ Clear Water

Why You Need A Water Filter When You Travel!

You often go to different places either to spend your vacation, visit a friend or relative, go hiking, camping or picnic. Sometimes you also have to travel to attend meetings, conferences, participate in a school activity at a nearby city or whatever.  Whatever might be the reason of your travel, you must prepare yourself and bring with you important things you need to protect yourself from anything.

How would you protect yourself from being exposed to risks largely related to water?  What pre-emptive measure should you make?  Be cautious, you must not depend on bottled water alone since it is no more than a tap water put in a bottle.  Laboratories who have conducted examination on both tap water and bottled water concluded that they are just the same.  So, if tap water is considered unsafe to use due to the presence of contaminants, pollutants, harmful substances and compounds, plus, of course, the environment problem brought about by the disposal of plastic gallons or plastic bottles.

The best option is to bring your own water filter!

There are portable water filters. Something that you could carry with you as you go to different places. Don’t worry too much!!!! It’s handy. And there’s the ceramic water filter. It’s recyclable. Unlike plastic gallons or plastic bottles, ceramic is an element of the earth so it could get back to the Earth without harming it.

One more thing why you need water when you travel is the presence of chloramines, chlorine, lead and other harmful elements in the water. You would need a filter that would be able to remove all these unwanted compounds from water to make safer for you to use.

So why do you need a water filter when you travel?  For you to have a safer and cleaner water to use wherever you maybe.

Worried About Your Bottled Water?

We are seen with them and look cool.  We buy them because we think they are safe.  But in this investigative report, you will find that the bottled water you are buying at the stores is not any better than what you get at home.

In fact, it may be less safe!

As the studies from the Government Actability Office (what brainiac thought that office name up?) conclude: companies that sell bottled water don’t have to report failures in their system!  As such, consumers think they are getting the best water possible and the report says that just isn’t so.

So, besides the BPA that the containers have, the water inside the containers isn’t good for you either?  Why do people (and the government) let this go on?

These issues literally go away when you use a quality whole house (or at the least an under the counter) water filter system.

s-BABY-BOTTLE-large

In a matter a few years at most, babies living in the USA will likely be off the BPA-laced formula. Washington Post documents two important developments which signal this likelihood. In Bills Would Ban BPA From Food and Drink Containers, WaPo reports that “Leaders from the House and Senate introduced legislation…that would establish a federal ban on bisphenol A in all food and beverage containers.”

BPA scare on metal bottles? Anything else?

BPA scare on metal bottles? Anything else?

While ongoing research tries to address the BPA problem on our plastic drinking bottles, metal bottles are the viable safer alternative. But are they? Sigg, a renowned Swiss manufacturer of aluminum bottles recently announced(link) that they are replacing the epoxy lining they’ve used for the longest time on their aluminum bottles due to trace amounts of BPA. The company had made this public a few years back and had always maintained that there was no evidence of BPA migration or leaching on any of their bottles. But since trace amounts of BPA are still present anyhow, they came up with a new powder based, co-polyester coating. The new epoxy lining, which they named “EcoCare lining”, is believed to be 100% BPA free.

The fight against BPA may be far from over with just metal EcoCare lined bottles. The American diet consists of 17% canned food products according to the FDA. Unlike large companies similar to Sigg, a lot of them don’t have enough R&D capabilities to check if their tin can linings are BPA leaching free. A research recently conducted on different canned products found a significant percentage having traces of BPA.What about those dinner plate linings? Microwave re-heat plastics? Plastic baby toys? You name it. As long as there are still conflicting acceptable BPA standards, we may still have to wait until someone smart enough would come up with something to straighten things out with this BPA scare.
