Need clean, healthy water? Think EZ Clear Water

Dr. Oz Talks About Chlorine In Your Shower!

If you have read any of the articles that I have posted on chlorine and chloramine in your water, you know what I think.

Hear’s what Dr. Oz says about removing chlorine from your shower.  Sorry!  I like you Dr. Oz, but you’re completely wrong on this one.  A little chunk of carbon in your shower head is NOT going to remove the chlorine, much less chloramine from HOT water!

Dr. Oz is right about the chemicals being really harsh on your hair.  They’re harsh on your skin too – especailly the skin of our soft, sweet children.  But the only effective way to prevent them from reaching the bath and shower water is to install a whole house water filter that filters the COLD water before it enters your water heater.  And you must use a water filter that is tested and approved to remove both chlorine and choramine if you live in a city now using mostly chloramine to disinfect the water, because part of the year they will switch to chlorine.

The whole house filters at http://www.ezClearwater.com do indeed remove both chorine and chloramine and WILL save your hair and skin from the horrid, drying effects of water disinfection chemicals.  Come on by and visit!

How Effective is Water Therapy?

Dehydration is a common issue with a lot of people especially for those who wait to be thirsty before drinking. Others who are engaged in sports activities drink specially formulated thirst quenchers with high amounts of electrolytes to replenish what their bodies lose through sweating.

If water is consumed to replenish and refresh, there is an alternative way of consuming water to cleanse other than just thirst quenching. It is called “water therapy” and is slowly getting popular in the field of alternative medicine.

Sources say that the water therapy procedure originated in China and India. The idea is that you consume approximately 1.5 liters of water in the shortest possible time before you start your day. If your body is not used to it, doing it in increasing amounts for a few days will get you used to it.

Water therapy is the simplest all-in treatment for a long list of ailments and disorders ranging from dry skin to arthritis and recently, some say even for cancer. Not only that it’s easy to follow without any professional help, it’s also practically free.

Water therapy utilizes the solvent properties of water and it somehow forces the toxins out by simply displacing them and carries them out as waste when we urinate or sweat. This concept is what makes it non-specific because it has no target toxin to flush out. Anything that’s not good for the body has a higher chance of being expelled.

One thing to note is that the amount of water consumed may not be an issue; but sometimes in the effort to consume 1.5 liters of water over the shortest possible time, one might put himself at risk of water intoxication. It is the over consumption of water that pushes the limits of the body’s electrolytes to unsafe levels disrupting brain functions which may lead to death.

When done in a moderate way, water therapy has a lot of claims of advantages and long term health benefits. Even if a person might try it out of curiosity and without forcing oneself anything he or she couldn’t consume, this would still guarantee that the minimum of eight glasses a day are met.

The health benefits of this therapy are not specific and should be considered as a good alternative but should not be taken to extremes. Still, the healthy lifestyle is a delicate balance of discipline and self-control. Any new or old alternatives must not be employed immediately without careful research and professional consultation. There would always be an exception to the general rule.

Water in all its use would always be safe to consume from the right sources or if treated for drinking. In its pure form, it even has the ability to cleanse our whole body. The water therapy treatment is just one of its magical uses.

Drinking Water Data Prompts Agency, Congress To Rethink Policies

There is some evidence that Congress — and the Environmental Protection Agency — are rethinking their policies on a commonly used weed-killer after disclosures that the EPA failed to notify the public about high levels of the herbicide in drinking water.

For five years, the EPA has been collecting weekly tests of drinking water in about 150 watersheds, primarily in the Midwest, where farmers spray the herbicide on cornfields and other crops. The agency, however, never acted on the results. Nor had it ever published the data — until tonight. EPA officials say they have now decided to make the test results available on their Web site.

Is Your Water Filter Making You Sick?

Water filters are quickly becoming necessary as studies show we have an excess of 80,000 toxic chemicals in our water. Improper care, replacement or simply choosing the wrong home water filters could put you in serious danger. Below are a few tips to make sure you are protected.

Understanding the mechanics of house water filters can help choose the right water filtration system for you. A reverse osmosis (RO) system has a filter for toxins; however, whole house water filtration system is the only fully effective method to remove chloramines, chlorine and other dangerous chemicals.

It is important to not only filter out chemicals but also to filter harmful heavy metals without filtering the essential minerals such as magnesium and potassium. The WHO, world health organization recommends leaving magnesium and potassium in our drinking water for our health. Quality whole house water filtration works to remove lead from water as well as other heavy metals without stripping the beneficial minerals.

Today’s best technology includes carbon filtration that bind contaminates while leaving vital minerals there. High quality whole house water filtration systems uses a serious of filters to remove 99% of all known contaminates from the source, where the water enters the home. This means that the water for drinking, showering, bathing, washing dishes with and washing clothing with is clean and safe.

Since skin absorbs what it comes in contact with, leaving ourselves unprotected in the shower presents risks from absorbing chemicals as well as inhaling the toxins from the steam. With simple under sink water filters for drinking, contaminates that are left on our dishes and left in our clothing presents health risks that whole house water filtration removes.

All water filters must be replaced on a regular basis to continue to be effective. Once installed, follow the suggested cleaning and replacement requirements that come with your filtration system to be fully protected. Under sink water filters can become ineffective within 6 months leaving you unprotected. Shower head filters too can quickly become ineffective. Regular maintenance of your chosen filtration system is necessary in order to continue to benefit from the filters.

Large whole house filtration systems come with a multi level filtration. The first filter on the system will often need to be changed about every 6 months; however, the next level(s) of filtration can last 3 to 5 years. The multi levels of filtration offer more protection and security.

These days water contaminants are the kind you can’t see – toxic chemicals causing cancer, birth defects, infertility, and more. I’m relieved to know I’m now protecting my family’s health because we use state-of-the-art water filtration by Selecto Inc., made right here in the USA. Selecto has been innovating for commercial customers for 25 years. Now these superior filtration systems are available for home and office use through ezclearwater!
