When it comes to Water Purification, One Size DOES NOT Fit All.
Never use any brand of Filter Cartridge far beyond 12 Months. Bacteria will grow inside the cartridge and make your water unsafe.

If your water is still disinfected with Chlorine, you're the lucky one.  You'll be able to purchase a smaller system to meet all your needs.  And, if your municipal water system switches to Chloramine in the future (which it probably will), your Contamin-Eater will still be on the job for you; it will simply be used up faster and you'll want to purchase a larger cartridge in the future when it's time for replacement.

Fortunately, that's no problem!  All our filter cartridges fit all our filter heads, so changes or upgrades are a cinch!

If your water is disinfected with Chloramine, the Contamin-Eater's patented Hollow Carbon media is the most effective Chloramine removal you'll find anywhere!

Inlet / Outlet size: 3/4." Using a reducer on 1" pipe does not affect flow or water pressure in a noticeable way and is a common practice. If your water pipe is larger than 1," please let us know and we'll make you a filter with 1" inlet / outlet.

People in the US use between 18,000 to 25,000 gallons of water per year, per person. This figure includes some outside watering that will not be filtered water, so take that into account. You're the best judge of your water usage habits.

These filters have a superior dirt holding capability, but if you live in a situation with very high sediment like much of Houston or Boston, you may want to protect your Contamin-Eater's chemical reduction capacity by using a Sediment Pre-Filter.
