media is the only truly safe and effective filtration media for filtering
Chloramine. Please do your research. Other medias claiming to reduce
Chloramine have a byproduct that are hardly
things you want added to your water.
Chloramine is the
combination of 80% Chlorine plus 20% ammonia - a toxic mix! Even
with Selecto's superior technology, Chloramines will use up the filtration
media about 3 times faster than does simple chlorine. So in order
for your filter to last a full year before cartridge change, you need a
larger filter to begin with.

municipal water company switches back to chlorine? Next time you

These filters have a superior dirt holding capability, but if you
live in a
situation with very high sediment like much of Houston or Boston, you may want to protect your
Contamin-Eater's chemical reduction capacity by using a
Sediment Pre-Filter.
